ATP Official Tournament

As a volunteer at Bybit Stockholm Open, you become an important part of the tournament and help create a professional, welcoming and memorable experience for players, guests, spectators and everyone else visiting the arena.

There are several different volunteer groups with a wide range of responsibilities, from service and spectator hosting to practical support, media, transportation and working close to the players. Regardless of which group you become part of, your commitment, service mindset and willingness to help are essential for making the tournament run smoothly.

To be a volunteer, you need to be able to work at least five shifts during the tournament week. As a volunteer, you receive a meal during each shift, an outfit from the tournament’s partner Oscar Jacobson, and access to the tournament on all days — including the days when you are not working. You will also receive two tickets for Sunday and two tickets for Wednesday.

Below you can read more about the different volunteer groups and what each role involves.

Registration

Accreditation

At the accreditation office, necessary access is handled for everyone involved in the tournament, such as players, coaches, volunteers, journalists, sponsors and other guests. The main task is to accredit people who meet the requirements and ensure that unauthorized individuals do not gain access to restricted areas.

You are often one of the first people that important visitors meet in connection with the tournament. Therefore, a service-minded attitude, accuracy and a positive approach are important qualities. You should be 18 years or older. If you enjoy meeting people from the international tennis world, including some of the world’s best players, there is probably no better place to be.

Arena Host

Are you service-minded and do you enjoy meeting tennis fans? Our approximately 90 arena hosts have one of the most important roles during the tournament. As an arena host, you help spectators find their seats, answer questions and guide them to areas such as the cloakroom, restrooms and restaurant areas.

You also make sure that no one enters the stands during play and help ensure that every visitor feels welcome and well taken care of. As an arena host, you work around the match courts, which gives you the opportunity to watch a lot of tennis during the week while contributing to the spectator experience. You should be 16 years or older.

Ticket Office

Do you enjoy meeting people and keeping things organized? At the ticket office, located by the arena’s public entrance, the ticket volunteers have a lot of contact with visitors. You work with ticket sales, help answer various ticket-related questions and handle the systems and tools used in the ticketing process.

The work can be intense before major matches, so this role suits someone who is structured, stress-resistant and service-minded. It is also an advantage if you are somewhat technically inclined and feel comfortable using digital systems. You should be 18 years or older.

Chauffeur

The drivers transport players, ATP staff, sponsors and other guests to and from Kungl. Tennishallen. As a driver, you are often the first representative of the tournament that a player or guest meets, which makes your attitude and service especially important.

You should be service-minded, social and have good local knowledge of Stockholm. To be considered for this role, you need to have held a category B driver’s license for at least three years, be between 22 and 75 years old and have good English skills. Additional language skills are considered a merit.

If you are considered for this volunteer group, our transport manager will contact you.

Media Center

Are you studying media or communication, or perhaps already working in the industry? In the media center, you act both as a host for the journalists visiting the tournament and as part of the team responsible for the tournament’s own communication through the website and social media.

Tasks may include announcing and assisting at press conferences, publishing articles, interviews, match reports and video clips, as well as updating the image gallery. This role suits someone who can work quickly, accurately and efficiently, even during busy periods.

The week in the media center often starts at a calmer pace, but the intensity gradually increases as the tournament approaches the final weekend.

Players Service

The Player’s Lounge is a restricted area where players spend time at the arena between matches and practice sessions. Here, players can eat, prepare for matches and relax. The player lounge also handles matters such as practice courts, laundry and restaurant bookings.

The role in Players Service is primarily about giving players and coaches a professional, safe and pleasant experience at the arena with world-class service. The Player’s Lounge is open from early morning until the final match of the day has been completed.

We prefer that you are at least 21 years old and have experience working in service. Previous experience from Bybit Stockholm Open or Swedish Open is considered a merit. The role requires you to be stress-resistant, solution-oriented and proactive. At times, the pace can be high, and it is important that you can stay calm, prioritize correctly and continue to provide a high level of service.

Good English skills are required. Additional language skills are considered a merit.

Public Entrance

At the public entrance, you are responsible for scanning visitors’ tickets and checking accreditations. This is an important role in ensuring that the right people enter the arena.

Since you are often one of the first people visitors meet, it is important that you are accurate, service-minded and welcoming.

Support Team

Support Team is a flexible volunteer group that helps wherever needed during the tournament. The group essentially functions as runners and supports different parts of the organization with practical tasks.

Tasks may include picking up and delivering materials, carrying items, assisting with changeovers and solving various tasks that arise during the day. This role suits someone who is helpful, responsible and enjoys being on the move.

Because the tasks can vary a lot, it is important that you are flexible, solution-oriented and not afraid to step in where help is needed.

VIP Welcome Service

Are you social, flexible and do you enjoy meeting new people? Then VIP Welcome Service could be a great fit for you. This role suits someone who enjoys working with service and wants to be an important part of the experience for the tournament’s sponsors and VIP guests.

The workplace is located in the public entrance and serves as the hub for the sponsors’ VIP area in the entrance area. Here, you help sponsors and VIP guests collect tickets, book transportation and manage evening arrangements.

At the beginning of the week, the pace is often somewhat calmer, but from Wednesday onwards it usually becomes significantly busier. If you are flexible, social, service-minded and 20 years or older, VIP Welcome Service could be a role that suits you very well.
