Elias Ymer begins his Stockholm Open campaign against Argentina’s Juan Manuel Cerúndolo on Sunday, 8 November. The match will start no earlier than 16:00 at Kungl. Tennishallen.
Following his quarter-final run last year, Elias Ymer returns to Stockholm Open with a wildcard into the main draw. The Swede faces Juan Manuel Cerúndolo in the opening round as he looks to put together another memorable week in front of his home crowd.
The 24-year-old Argentine is left-handed and made headlines in 2021 by winning the Córdoba title on his ATP Tour main-draw debut. Aged just 19, he came through qualifying and went all the way to lift the trophy.
Ymer will be hoping to build on last year’s performances in Stockholm. He defeated his younger brother Mikael Ymer in the first round before beating Britain’s Jacob Fearnley to reach the quarter-finals, where his run ended against Denis Shapovalov.
Victory over Cerúndolo would set up a second-round meeting with either sixth seed Alex Michelsen of the United States or Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann.
Sunday’s match starts no earlier than 16:00. Join us at Kungl. Tennishallen and cheer Elias on as he gets his Stockholm Open campaign underway!
